Neal M. Kotin, MD has served New York City’s pediatric and young adult community at Carnegie Hill Pediatrics for the past 25 years. He completed a six-year BS-MD program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Albany Medical College and graduated with his medical degree in 1982. He served his general pediatrics internship and residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital between 1982-85. Dr. Kotin also completed a pediatric pulmonology fellowship at the Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC between 1985-88 and then became Co-Director of the Pediatric ICU at Mount Sinai between 1988-1991.
Dr. Kotin is one of the few NYC physicians in pediatric private practice who is doubly board-certified in general pediatrics and pediatric pulmonology. He also serves as a pulmonary consultant at Lenox Hill Hospital.
Dr. Kotin can provide general pediatric care for infants and children, and can also manage the pulmonary care of children with lung conditions such as asthma, respiratory allergies, chronic lung disease of prematurity (BPD), sleep disordered breathing , snoring, and chronic cough. Dr. Kotin's asthma management approach seeks to avoid and minimize steroid treatment when possible.
As a result of Dr. Kotin's pediatric critical care experience, he has gained excellent phlebotomy and blood drawing skills.
Dr. Kotin resides with his wife and has raised his three adult children in New York City. He is an avid long-distance runner, sports enthusiast and long-time New York Yankees fan. His extensive experience as both a general pediatrician and children's lung expert along with his personal experience as a father make him someone you can trust with your family members.
